White Lady
WHITE LADY is a vigorous and uniform, medium sized hybrid turnip
with good disease tolerance. It can be harvested even from the
young stage to a larger size. In the temperate regions, can
be cropped from spring, summer and autumn sowings owing to its
slow bolting habit and good heat tolerance. Leaves have virtually
no pubescence, being soft and tender, suitable as greens. Pure
white roots about 7 - 8 cm in diameter with slightly thick tail
end. Very slow in becoming pithy. Can be used as a large sized
turnip of 12 cm diameter, weighing about 1 kg. Harvestable in
about 40 days in summer, 45-55 days from autumn sowing in the
temperate zones. |
